Family: Bignoniaceae
Jamaica oak is a semi-deciduous tree. It has a large and open crown and can grow up to 75 feet tall. It puts on a spectacular display when in flower, although the bloom time is short.
Sadly, Jamaica oak was overexploited for timber in the Caribbean, and now it’s rare in many regions.
