Licuala distans (paw si tip) is a palm native to Thailand. It is a rare palm that is sometimes coveted by palm collectors and enthusiasts. It is found atop wet mountain ridges in Thailand. This plant has not been documented as naturalized in any Hawaiian Islands to date.
