Family: Boraginaceae
Geiger tree is a shrubby plant growing up to 20 feet tall with a 15-foot spread. It produces a dense crown, rounded in shape. It is wind tolerant and moderately tolerant of salt spray. Red-Orange flowers bloom throughout most of the year. Unobtrusive roots won’t damage structures and roads. Native to the American tropics, it thrives in Hawai’i.
