Parsley is a semiannual herb. Native to Europe and the Mediterranean, it grows best in cooler climates. Trim to prevent bolting and to maintain leafy growth. A good companion plant, parsley repels pests. Roots grow horizontally and don’t tangle with other plants.
Propagation by seed. Keep harvested seeds in a cool, dry place. Stored properly, seeds will remain viable for 2 to 3 years. Seeds should germinate in 7 days. Leaf can be harvested 70 days after planting.
