Family: Podocarpaceae
Plum pine is a low-maintenance tree that grows into a dense hedge. The nonintrusive roots will not damage streets, driveways or foundations. Plum pine is not flashy, it puts on no striking floral displays. However, it makes a living privacy screen. It doesn’t drop leaves, flowers or fruits, there is no litter to rake or blow away. The maintenance to consider is keeping it to a manageable height.
