An ornamental tree with a rounded crown packed dense with leaves. Commonly called maga, it is native to Puerto Rico. It typically flowers in the Summer and fall months. A member of the Malvaceae family, maga flowers resemble hibiscus.
Maga may have intrusive roots, which make it not desirable for a street or sidewalk planting. It is low maintenance and drops little to no litter.
